"Travel 2 Riga" ltd. is mainly an inbound tour operator for groups in Riga, Latvia.
At times services can be provided in Lithuania and Estonia too.
We operate under very simple rules (from now on: Terms & Conditions) whilst continuously learning and adopting the best business practice from our suppliers and partners in the travel and hospitality industries.
1 Services & website
Most of our services and rates are mentioned on our website www.travel2riga.com However, due to the dynamic nature of travel and hospitality business all services and rates are likely to change at some point. Unfortunately we are not always able reflect the latest changes in services and rates on our website. Hence we kindly ask you to look on our website as informative source of information only. To get guaranteed services and rates you must contact us or our business partners. Only business partners (travel agencies, corporate and VIP clients) are given a set of guaranteed rates and conditions for lengthier intervals of time - such as one year.
2 Bookings
All bookings wether booked direct with us or through our business partners must be confirmed by us in written. Final confirmation of services are sent via e-mail (to client or business partner) within two days the latest. Only after we have received payment from client we assume that we have been contracted to provide services. We also assume that once booking is placed with us that our clients have read our terms & conditions.
3 Deposits & Payments
We aim to be as flexible with deposits and payments as possible.
However, certain early commitment for our services enables us to offer the finest services on the market at optimum rates. There are ussually two sets of rules. One for individual clients or ad-hoc groups, the other for business partners (travel agencies, corporate and VIP clients)
Individual clients (or groups) are required to :
- settle deposit of 30 % six (6) weeks prior their arrival,
- setlle the outstanding balance four (4) weeks prior arrival.
Payments are accepted by bank transfer after we have sent our invoice. We do not accept charges for payments transfered to our account. Payments can also be made with credit cards (Master or Visa). Please note that 2 % surcharge is added on the sum paid to us to cover credit card charges. Clients have to sign card terminal slips upon arrival.
Business partners (corporate and VIP clients too) are ussually required to :
- settle deposit of 20 % five (5) weeks prior arrival,
- settle the outstanding balance three (3) weeks prior arrival.
Rules to business partners can be different bearing in mind their specific businesses.
Payments are accepted by bank transfers after we have sent our invoice. We do not accept any charges for payment transfers to our account. Payments can also be made with credit cards (Master or Visa). Please note that 2 % surcharge is added on the sum paid to us to cover credit card charges.
If clients are late with payments we reserve the right to cancel our services.
Business partners can pay for services on monthly basis if we have signed an agreement.
There are sometimes cash payments for specific activities.
There are services ( e.g outdoor karting, hot-air ballooning, quadro cycling, bobsleigh and others) which we book but times take payments in cash shortly before the activity. Most of these services are ussually weather dependant, hence we take only small, non-refundable deposit of circa 10 % .
4 Alterations & Cancelation charges
Clients are free to alter their services up to 21 days (3 weeks) prior their arrival.
We will do our best to accomodate later alterations too, however, some rates for services may slightly change and services differ.
All cancelations must be received by us in writing and confirmed by us.
Cancelation charges depend on how timely we are informed about cancelation of services. We will have retain following amount from money paid to us :
- 20 % for cancelations of more than 14 days prior arrival,
- 50 % for cancelations of between 14 and 7 days prior arrival,
- 100 % for cancelations less than 7 days prior arrival.
We expect that charges for transfering refunds will lie on the party who is canceling services.
5 Alterations made by us
"Travel 2 Riga" acts as organiser of services and doesn't own any businesses nor is partial to any local supplier. All our local suppliers are thouroghly checked and deemed to provide good service. However, there might be times when our suppliers will not be able to provide services for some reasons (intoxicated clients, force majore etc). Our aim will be to minimize the disruption is service. Clients will be offered alternative service or returned payment whenever it's possible.
6 Client responsibility
We promote Riga, Latvia and Baltic States as safe and exciting places for holidaying and do so in good faith. However, clients have to accept some common-sense rules in order to gain the most ouf of their visit in this region. The following behavior has been cause of unpleasant experiences leading to short detentions by police :
- loud and indecent behaviour on streets,
( eg. public nudity or urination in public places),
- use of drugs,
- deliberate damage to premises of their stay (hotel or hostel),
- use of stolen credit cards as means of payment,
- disrespectful or abusive behaviour towards local guides, venue providers.
Any of the above or similar behaviour may result in termination of some or all of our services. No refunds will be granted to persons causing such behaviour. We may also have to cooperate in full with local police in extreme cases, although less formal and friendly agreements are our preferred way.
All of our clients are safeguarded or advised on the above and dominating majority of our clients do not experience any trouble and enjoy their stay in the region.
6 Insurence, Complaints & Suggestions
We assume that all our clients will have obtained their own travel insurence prior their arrival. Please note that some activities we offer may be considered as slightly risky by insurence companies. Your security and safety is important to us hence most of our services will include safety briefings or instructions.
If you wish to make a complaint than we would ask you to do it in written. Written complaint must be received not later than two (2) weeks after services have been provided.
