Natural landscape tour.
The tour takes you through the Gauja National park showing the beautiful nature of Latvia. The roads are small and offer picturesque country views. During this tour it is possible to observe wild animals and birds characteristic for the fauna of Latvia. While driving through sparsely inhabited areas it is possible to witness nesting grounds of birds, get acquainted with beaver dam construction and watch beavers in their natural habitat. While touring you might encounter some animals on the road due to the fact that you mostly travel along by-roads.
The route: Riga – Ropaži – Sigulda – Ligatne – Riga.
The tour lasts 6 hours.
In the wake of Soviet Latvia
This tour gives you the opportunity to experience the traces left by Soviet Union such as kolkhoz (collective farm), soviet households, schools and to enjoy a real soviet kolkhoz meal. A visit to a still functioning underground bunker that was built for protection in case of nuclear war is also included in the tour. During the trip we access formerly forbidden and top secret soviet military objects hidden in woodlands and the only way to get to these locations is via off road vehicles. The tour of Kurzeme lasts two days.
