Rundāle & Mežotne Palace Day Trip
Description
Built between 1736 and 1768, Rundāle palace is one of the finest example of Baroque architecture and one of only two Baroque palaces in Latvia. Enjoy a guided tour of the grounds and the palace, find out about the Palaces rich history through Latvia’s occupations and turbulent times. After you have toured the inside of the palace, you can enjoy the beautifully kept Rundāle gardens. Enjoy an afternoon tea and take yourself back to the times of Ernst Johann von Biron the Duke of Courland During this tour you will also visit Mežotne Palace, a smaller but classical palace built in the mid 1700’s. Mežotne is now used for events and weddings and this is a testimony to the setting of this beautiful palace.
