You cant come to Riga and not visit at least one of the many Lido restaurants that are dotted around the city. Local hearty food and even some good local beers to wash it all down with.

For those who want the real Latvian experience, you need to head to the Lido Recreation centre about 10 minutes by taxi from the centre of Riga. Here you will find one of Europe's largest log cabins filled with table, chairs and hungry locals bustling at the self serve counters for a helping of potato and fried meat.
